Question: Do you really need to be respectful always why?

Once upon a time me and my children was going to distribute a sweets during the Deepawali. I was distribute the sweets very politely in the poor persons out of the temple, suddenly I saw my children was misbehaving with the persons that time I was shocked my children was using bad language for those people's that is very bad for me as a person and as a father because I always want to be give respect and take respect that time I talk  to my children to say sorry and I also say sorry for misbehaving my children's that time is very crucial for me as a father to learn my children about manners and who to talk humbly with other person.
