Based on my research, here is a brief explanation of the number of candidates who appeared for JEE Mains 2023 Session 2:
- JEE Mains 2023 Session 2 was an entrance exam for engineering aspirants in India, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in April 2023.
- The exam was held in 330 centres and in around 25 shifts.
- The result of the exam was announced on April 29, 2023.
- Approximately 9.4 lakh candidates had registered for the exam ⁵, and around 8 lakh candidates had appeared for JEE Mains Session 2.
- The cut-off scores for the Common Rank List (CRL) and other categories were also released by NTA.
- The scores obtained in JEE Mains Session 2 will be used to determine the eligibility of candidates for JEE Advanced 2023, which is the next step towards admission to IITs and other institutes.
