The Northern Plains are one of the most fertile plains in India and are spread over an area of 7 lakh sq. km. They are 2400 km long and have a width of 250-300.Northern Plains are divided into three parts:-(I) The Punjab Plains.(II) The Ganga Plains.(III)The Brahmaputra Plains.The major rivers of northern plains are: (1)The Indus. (2)The Ganga. (3)The Brahmaputra.
